Resilience is the concluding piece in my upcoming exhibition entitled “Celebrating Resilience”, symbolising the strength and unity of women. It’s bursting with energy, and the layers of vibrant colours are mesmerising. The petal effect creates a striking and symbolic outline of a woman, representing individual beauty and collective power. This artwork reflects how women unite to face challenges, illustrating resilience as a force that grows stronger when shared. The mix of repurposed balloons and acrylic offcuts gives it a sustainable touch that ties perfectly into my style, celebrating the theme of resilience while honouring sustainability. Created from layers of oil, acrylic, spray paint, nitrocellulose lacquer (nail polish), and materials diverted from landfills by two Auckland companies, Resilience is both a tribute to sustainability and a celebration of women standing together as one.
