At first glance, a vibrant floral composition emerges against a soft lavender ground. On closer inspection, the work reveals its layered origins: petals formed from old magazines, melted CD cases and balloons, embedded within  resin. Fragments of printed text remain visible — partially obscured, partially revealed — forming a quiet dialogue between what was once read and what is now seen.
The stems are constructed from reclaimed wire taken from a grand piano built by Jacob and Sons, New York, over a century ago during the Great Depression. That same piano is now being restored — its history continuing in both sound and form — while here, its original materials take on a new life.
