What if your walls could take you somewhere extraordinary?

Wonderwall is a large metallic floral wall sculpture composed of hundreds of individually formed roses.

Acrylic signage offcuts, CDs, melted plastic and found fragments gather into a luminous enchanted garden filled with iridescent colour, reflective detail and tiny discoveries.

Measuring 130 × 81 cm, Wonderwall may be displayed vertically or horizontally, allowing it to respond beautifully to the architecture of its future home.

Wonderwall invites you into an enchanted garden alive with metallic colour, reflected light and hundreds of sculptural roses.

From across the room, the work appears as a luminous floral landscape. Move closer and the garden begins to reveal itself through iridescent CD surfaces, translucent petals, flashes of silver and gold, fragments of lettering and tiny traces of the materials each rose once was.

There is always something else to find.

As a child, Lisa Watkins would sit beneath a willow tree with her father’s old golf trundler, searching the ground for fragments and longing to build before she had the tools or technical skills to realise the worlds she imagined.   In Wonderwall, that instinct finds permanent form.

As part of the Sign of the Times series, the artwork retains visible traces of its acrylic signage origins. Letters, symbols and pieces of former communication remain embedded among the roses, allowing the materials’ earlier identities to flicker through the new composition rather than disappear completely.

Through Lisa’s process of Circular Elevation, hundreds of disparate fragments become an intricate metallic garden filled with colour, material memory and possibility.

For its collector, Wonderwall offers the experience of stepping into an enchanted garden within their own interior. Its reflective surfaces transform with daylight, evening lighting and movement through the room, ensuring the work is never experienced in exactly the same way twice.

Designed to hang vertically or horizontally, it becomes a commanding living focal point—abundant, joyful and impossible to absorb in a single glance.

Perfect Placement

Because Wonderwall is exceptionally reflective, placement where natural daylight or considered spatial lighting can move across its surface will allow its metallic and iridescent qualities to become fully visible. It would be especially striking opposite windows, beneath directional lighting or within interiors that use glass, polished stone, metal and other light-responsive finishes.

Part of the Sign of the Times series—an evolving body of work in which fragments of commercial signage become intricate contemporary artworks carrying traces of their former visual language.
