Botanical Graffiti: Spider’s Web is a large-scale contemporary wall sculpture created from layered acrylic offcuts, glossy black resin, metallic accents, and repurposed beauty-industry materials including decorative nail art elements. Measuring 110 × 78 cm, the piece interweaves botanical motifs, street-art energy, and web-like structures in a powerful, visually dense composition.
Cut shapes overlap and collide like urban glyphs — spirals, petals, arrows, hearts, stems, shards — forming an intricate network of movement and meaning. Pops of red, turquoise, gold, and white lift the deep black ground, while high-gloss resin intensifies every contour and shadow. The result is part graffiti, part abstract sculpture, part botanical map: a vibrant collision of nature and urban tension.
Crafted entirely from salvaged acrylic and discarded offcuts, Botanical Graffiti: Spider’s Web continues Lisa Watkins’ signature practice of transforming waste into bold, joyful contemporary art. This major work anchors the Botanical Graffiti series with its scale, complexity, and captivating visual rhythm.
