What does summer feel like to you?
Maybe it is a garden at full strength.
Bare feet.
Warm evenings that seem to stretch forever.
Flowers everywhere.
A holiday when nobody was watching the clock.
Or perhaps it is simply that lighter version of yourself that seems to return when the days grow longer.
For me, Dinner Lilly began with colour.
The hot pink and brilliant green immediately made me feel good. They have that particular warmth of summer — bright and alive, but somehow soft and calming at the same time.
That feeling became the heart of this limited edition floral art print NZ.
The original Dinner Lilly artwork was created from discarded acrylic offcuts and old plastic cutlery. Through heat, shaping and experimentation, those hard manufactured materials began behaving like petals, leaves and curling botanical forms.
I love that contradiction.
Something rigid becomes soft.
Something ordinary becomes unexpectedly beautiful.
Something overlooked suddenly deserves another look.
But the materials are only part of the story.
What matters most to me is how this work feels.
Colour can take us somewhere before we have even worked out why.
Maybe this pink reminds you of flowers that grew outside your childhood home.
Maybe the green takes you back to a garden, a holiday, or one particular summer you would happily live again.
Or perhaps there is no specific memory at all.
Perhaps seeing it simply makes something inside you feel a little lighter.
That is enough.
For me, Dinner Lilly holds the warmth and softness of summer.
For you, it may hold something entirely different.
And if you keep coming back to it because something in those colours makes you soften, smile or remember, perhaps that is where your relationship with the work begins.
Against the deep black background, the pink and green almost glow. It has enough presence to transform a wall without making the room feel busy.

Because seeing it simply makes you feel a little better for having it there.

From Sculpture to Print
The original Dinner Lilly sculpture was created from reclaimed acrylic offcuts and melted discarded plastic cutlery.
Through my Circular Elevation process, materials designed for entirely different purposes were reshaped into vivid botanical forms.
The 2026 limited edition print preserves the sculptural folds, reflections and intense colour of the original while allowing the work to live in a completely new form.

Dinner Lilly is particularly suited to someone who loves colour but still wants their home to feel calm and considered.
The deep black background grounds the composition, while vivid pink and green bring warmth, freshness and personality.
