Artist Concept:
"Value" explores the notion of worth and significance in a world driven by consumerism and disposability. The canvas, made from old cell phone cases, dental tubing, and repurposed dominos, serves as a poignant reflection on the evolving concept of value in our society. Each material tells a story of its former use, now transformed into something new. Through vibrant, experimental colours and textures, "Value" juxtaposes the old with the new, challenging viewers to consider the items they discard and the potential value these objects still hold. This piece invites contemplation on the price we place on the things we leave behind, urging us to rethink what we deem valuable in an ever-changing world.

I am in the business of Junk, old unused items people are going to throw away. My joy as a recreator is to wave my magic shiny wand and transform them into something I am proud to send out my door. It must be said though, that there is nothing perfect in the old (sorry mum) - if you look closely, you are going to find rust, scratches or the odd ugly backside as I endeavour to do my best in a sustainable way. With upcycling, must come the understanding that these come to you flawed like the sediment in an old wine, or a tarnished old coin from years ago. Enjoy the old and celebrate our flaws, old or new! Ever wonder what happens when a dentist, a tech junkie, and a domino player walk into an art studio? They create "Value," of course! With a canvas made from phone cases (because who needs them when you upgrade every year?), some dental tubing (who knew oral hygiene could be so artsy?), and dominos (yes, they do more than topple), this piece asks the big question: Is it worth it?
