Artist Concept:
"Kashin's After Party" captures the vibrant energy and chaotic aftermath of a night out, personified by the character Kashin. After dancing to the beat of a disco house track until the early hours, Kashin finds himself in a surreal kitchen setting. The piece is constructed from everyday materials—kitchen sponges for the backdrop, straws forming Kashin’s wild hair, and a faux fur jacket as his resting place. The colourful, textured elements of the piece evoke the sensory overload of a night spent in a club, while the tiny bits of plastic forming the collage border add a playful, yet fragmented, touch to the scene. The artwork is a whimsical reflection on the blend of euphoria and exhaustion that follows an unforgettable night out, turning the mundane into a moment of unexpected beauty.
Junk and Disorderly Disclaimer:
I am in the business of Junk, old unused items people are going to throw away. My joy as a recreator is to wave my magic shiny wand and transform them into something I am proud to send out my door. It must be said though, that there is nothing perfect in the old (sorry mum) - if you look closely, you are going to find rust, scratches or the odd ugly backside as I endeavour to do my best in a sustainable way. With upcycling, must come the understanding that these come to you flawed like the sediment in an old wine, or a tarnished old coin from years ago. Enjoy the old and celebrate our flaws, old or new! Thanks MSM.

Kashin's After Party
My Shiny Perspective:
Kashin had one heck of a night—disco lights, a beat that wouldn’t quit, and now here he is, sprawled out in a kitchen made of sponges, still rocking that fabulous faux fur jacket. His hair? Oh, just a few straws picked up along the way, because why not? This isn’t just a kitchen; it’s Kashin’s personal after-party headquarters, where the remnants of a wild night out come together in a rainbow of colour and texture. The tiny bits of plastic around the edge? Let’s just say they’re the confetti of a night well spent. Who knew a post-club crash could look this good?
