Conflicted Halo is a small recycled sculpture created by New Zealand artist Lisa Watkins. Standing 58cm tall and 15cm wide, this vibrant piece is made entirely from upcycled materials, including a disco ball, melted plastic plates, rubber bands, and a repurposed light shade.
The sculpture resembles a kind but uncertain angel—its chaotic layers of colour and materials reflect the tension between inner peace and emotional confusion. The twisted acrylic and radiant colours give the artwork both movement and fragility.
As with all of Lisa’s work, this small recycled sculpture transforms discarded everyday items into something deeply expressive. Conflicted Halo invites reflection on the contradictions we hold within ourselves.
